Worship

“Dawn will come, darkness fade,
light will rise, to show the way,

dawn will come, darkness fade,
light will rise, dont be afraid,

dawn will come, darkness fade,
LOVE will rise, a brand new day!

Hope has come, no more fear!
the war is won! Salvation’s HERE!”
-Rob Rudd
“Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily, your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.” Isaiah 58:8

I believe worship is an outward expression of an inward reality. We worship that which we our heart desires. Whether that is God, a sports team, a loved one, a job, money, or whatever, we all have something that we attribute worth to.  Throughout scripture we see man constantly trading the worship of God in for the worship of created things, yet we were created to worship God and God alone, but that was fractured in the fall.  I also believe with all my heart that worship does not simply mean songs we sing on a Sunday morning or at a weekly Bible study.  In the New Testemant the word for worship is actually proskynein or proskuneo, which means “bowing down” or “to kiss the hand of”.  To them it was a lifestyle of bowing down in reverent service to God, it was continual. I say all this because I do want to make clear that to me worship is a day in, and day out lifestyle, each moment rendering my life to Christ, for that is my spiritual act of worship. (from Romans 12:1-2)

“Surely We Can Change”
“And the problem is this, We were bought with a kiss
But the cheek still turned, Even when it wasn’t hit

And I don’t know, What to do with a love like that
And I don’t know, How to be a love like that

When all the love in the world, Is right here among us
And hatred too, And so we must choose
What our hands will do

Where there is pain, Let there be grace
Where there is suffering, Bring serenity
For those afraid, Help them be brave
Where there is misery, Bring expectancy
And surely we can change, Surely we can change
Something

And the problem it seems, Is with you and me
Not the Love who came, To repair everything

And I don’t know, What to do with a love like that
And I don’t know, How to be a love like that

When all the love in the world, Is right here among us
And hatred too, And so we must choose
What our hands will do

Where there is pain, Let us bring grace
Where there is suffering, Bring serenity
For those afraid, Let us be brave
Where there is misery, Let us bring them relief
And surely we can change, Surely we can change
Oh surely we can change, Something

Oh, the world’s about to change
The whole world’s about to change”

Hello, I got to your face book page through mutual friends and clicked on the link to this page. Just wanted to say, that’s the first time I’ve heard/seen that song “Surely We Can Change” and it spoke to me. Thanks for posting it!
