inspired from studying the greatness of Isaac Watts, I decided to make an attempt at hymn writing myself…also because I was required to for class, and needed a good grade, soooooo…

There Stood a Savior
Verse 1
We stood condemned, before the Holy King
As children of wrath, at our best still unclean
We could not stand, hopelessly broken
In need of a savior, to bring restoration
Verse 2:
But there stood a savior, spotless and clean
The wrath meant for us, was poured out on Him
He took it all, all our sin and shame
And purchased for us, what we could not gain
Verse 3:
The power of sin, and darkness He broke
When He rose from that tomb, and our hope He awoke
One day He’s coming, to take home His bride
This is our anthem, let our praises arise!
